Some of Miss Kebles’ social studies groups have been kept busy with a few projects!
The first group had to color an outline of the American flag 🇺🇸. Then, they had to create a flag that represented them and state the colors/symbols they used. 🎨
The second group had to design a ‘suitcase’ for a state of their choosing and then draw its flower, bird, tree, and flag. 🌸🐦🌳🏳️Then, they had to write at least 3 facts about their state, including what they would do if they went on vacation there!
Great job everyone!🌟👏🏻💙💛

Fourth Grade visited the Luzerne County Courthouse today. Justice Stevens, Judge Gartley and DA Sanguedolce taught them how the court system works. They had a chance to meet Chase the dog and even try out the judge’s chair and gavel! Thank you for having us! 🇺🇸❤️

Earlier this week, students from the Individualized Instruction Program were invited to join in on some Easter fun at the Brighter Journeys Easter Egg Hunt. The students then stopped at Grotto Pizza in Edwardsville for lunch. Thank you to our friends at Brighter Journeys, and our friends at Grotto Pizza. We had a wonderful adventure!!! 🐰💐🐣🍕

Last week, GSA hosted the Junior Achievement YES! Success Day. Students were able to hear from a wide range of professionals and volunteers who they worked with to learn skills which will prepare them for their potential careers and life experiences one day.

JA Inspire 2025 was a huge success and our team has pulled that momentum right into their most recent YES! Day Experience at Good Shepherd Academy, connecting with 173 6th, 7th & 8th grade students.  Many thanks go out to our 25 volunteers, with a very special thank you to Mayor George Brown for coming out to join us!

Kindergarten students learned all about animal habitats this week. KA celebrated the story Bear Snores On by having a “Tea (fruit punch) and Teddy” party and trying some of the snacks the animals ate in the story.

Mrs. Lukatchik’s class was pranked on April Fools Day with “Brownies” (Brown E’s)
Needless to say, the students were certainly fooled. Because they were such good sports, they were then rewarded with the real deal! A great sweet treat to end the school day!
